Linn Holmes
Linn Holmstedt is a Los Angeles based singer and songwriter. Known for her work as an artist, session singer, performing and recording background vocals for a vast variety of bands and artists, Linn has become a household name in the Los Angeles rock scene. Mixing the influences of her mother’s time singing gospel and her fathers love for Rock ’n Roll - acts such as the Allman Brothers Band, Aretha Franklin, Bonnie Raitt and Fleetwood Mac came to shape her sound.
Originally from Sweden, Linn started singing before she could walk - joining her mother in gospel choir as a baby and moving on to performing in choirs herself, singing in harmony with others has always been at the core of her life. She began singing choirs at the age of 3 and performed her first tv performance at the age of 4 in the popular Swedish performance program “Allsang Pa Skansen” alongside some of Sweden’s most notable artists: Lill Babs, Lasse Berghagen and Alcazar.
Moving on to performing in bands around Stockholm as a lead singer and songwriter, Linn began to explore different musical avenues and fell in love with the craft. She started her very first original band named Spiridoula with whom she performed festivals, residencies at venues such as Tyresoe Castle, competitions and countless venues around Sweden.
After coming to Los Angeles, Linn’s career has been quite a journey. In 2020, she started working as a resident session singer for LA-based Management Company Sparam Entertainment, for whom she performed as a background vocalist for their Artist roster - including pop-star and Australian X-Factor Artist Julian De Vizio, who’s music you can now hear on popular tv shows such as Netflix’s Love is Blind and Too Hot To Handle. Other notable acts include pop artist Lee Brown from British boyband Phase 5 as well as androgynous pop artist Tommi Aura who is currently holding 87.7k followers on Instagram as well as 29.4k on TikTok. Furthermore, Linn began working as an artist herself under Sparam Entertainment, as part of blues/rock duo Swedish Highcoast Ensemble. Linn functioned as the lead singer as well as songwriter for the band and they performed livestreams sponsored by massive companies such as Ultimate Ears and Digico, as well as recording a full length album that is currently in the works.
2024 has been a big year. Linn has finally embarked on her long awaited solo project, under the artist name Linn Holmes. Alongside producer Tom Chandler, known for his work with Los Angeles-rock duo Plastic Rhino and songs that has reached over 240k streams, Linn is bringing her vision to life - releasing two singles, followed by a full EP - two much critical acclaim, earning her articles in publications such as Billboard Magazine, The Source and Hollywood Life. Linn is already working towards her next releases with sessions in progress.
Furthermore, Linn is also a member of the 12-piece vintage rock group Harry Katz and the Pistachios with whom she has been performing headlining shows, festivals and countless venues around California. She is a featured singer on their new releases, performing both lead and background vocals. She is also a member of duo Asteron alongside producer Tom Hatziemanouel - with whom she has quite a handful of exciting releases planned and for which she sings lead vocals as well as co-writers material— as well as Canadian-led rock band Elderoth and the band of guitarist/artist Fernando Perdomo (Fiona Apple, Echo in the Canyon) for whom she performs background vocals. For Whisky A Go Go’s staple All-Star residency Ultimate Jam Night led by metal band Quiet Riot’s Chuck Wright, Linn takes on a leading role as vocal ensemble director and house-band background vocalist.
Linn has performed in headlining shows at legendary venues such as The Paramount, Whisky A Go Go and The Viper Room, as well as festivals such as NextFest LA, the June Gloom Festival and International Pop Overthrow.
